One of our recent innovative solutions – definitely a major game changer – is the addition of our mineral PP film to our ‘Expert’ range. Available in 5 thicknesses: 130µ, 160µ, 210µ, 260µ and 310µ.
This new synthetic media contains 40% natural minerals. This aspect makes these media even more durable than any other synthetic paper solution. The following points clearly and convincingly explain why this material is so environmentally friendly:
• Reduction of CO₂ emissions into the atmosphere (300 kg CO₂-eq./tonne)
• Manufactured in EU (base and coating)
• Water-based coating
• Reduced consumption of TiO₂ pigments
• Reduced water consumption of raw materials
• Detectable by NIR equipment used in the recycling industry
In addition to the durable aspect of mineral PP paper, this material has many of the same advantages as polyester paper. It is compatible with both dry toner laser printers and HP Indigo printers, it is very soft to the touch (no lamination required) and yet it is very easy to fold, cut, punch, sew and glue. At the same time, it is weather, water and chemical resistant and therefore virtually indestructible.
Thanks to these unique properties, the mineral PP paper is extremely suitable for applications such as menu cards, labels and booklets, and it can be used for almost any other purpose, where durability and resistance are of paramount importance.
